Plugs or bad gas?My 2003 accord with 127k miles has ran like a top until about two months ago when it was hit by a U-haul. All rear end damage (bumper cover, taillight, nothing serious) but the body shop took forever to fix it (about two months). When I pick it up last weekend the accord would cut out at 2500 rpms. For the first 10-15 minutes driving the accord it would be fine. Then at around 2500rpm’s it would cut out. It’s like it’s not getting gas. I have a secondary O2 sensors replaced yesterday but now the Honda dealership is saying I have the wrong plugs in it. How could the thing run like a top for so long with the wrong plugs in it? I feel like I am being yanked around. They are also recommending a throttle body cleaning. Any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated.
Re: Plugs or bad gas?throttle body cleaning is always a very good maintence thing to keep up with. Some cars blow oil into the throttle body which cakes on over time. You could also check the fuel filter. Theres a possibilty it got clogged somehow. Ive seen simialr instances where accidents just happen to happen right before things break. Kind of weird. Recently did a water pump, belts and a radiator on a chrysler. As I pulled it out of the gargae the tranny line broke. I was like , what are the odds of this but since it was so rusty it just happened to break at that moment. Plugs could also be it if you just happened to get ones that were very close to what you were supposed to be in it. If i have anymore ideas ill keep them posted.
