this ain't gonna buff out...

we were leaving the EPhatch field party sunday morning, and my wife led out in my car. I was pulling the trailer, so I was back a little bit. she calls, frantic, saying she hit something. I figured it was a dog or something. she swerved to avoid a fuckin coyote, took the ditch, and took out not 1, but 2 road signs. the bumper, lip, and grill are toast, along with both headlights, fender, wheel liner, hood, and windshield. the bumper cover ripped the waterneck off the radiator, ripped the hoses off the coolant tank and the condenser is bent. the first sign pancaked the a-post, and knocking the inner a-post trim off. the second one gashed the a-post and slapped the roof resulting in a washboard look. it slapped the roof so hard, it knocked the rear dome light lens out (and after de-moding and cleaning it out, I still haven't found that lens). the frame horn is tweaked, and the bottom of the core support is pushed back. the roof damage was the main reason why its totaled. I'm just glad she is ok. when the front dug in, she coulda went over. also, one of the posts hit the gas tank, but luckily it wasn't able to puncture or grab it.













on the way to get the estimate. they quit looking at $7700, and that wasn't looking in or under the car...


as it sits now. the salvage auction is picking it up monday from my driveway...


its been a fun journey, and I hate for it to end like this...

thats a major bummer. it was a clean looking car man, sad it had to happen like that lol
